Harley E. Worthington
 
Harley Edward Worthington, 73, prominent retired farmer of three miles north of Conover on state route 589, died at 8:15 p.m. Friday at his home after an illness of one year and having been bedfast for 10 weeks.
 
Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Suber Funeral home in Fletcher, with burial in Fletcher cemetery.
 
Mr. Worthington was born Oct. 20, 1876, on the same farm where his death occurred and was the son of Silas and Suzanne Duer Worthington.  He had resided in Brown township practically all of his life.  On Sept. 19, 1906, he was married to Etta Feaster in St. Paris, her death occurring April 1, 1938.
 
Surviving are a son Hugh, with whom he made his home; a daughter, Mrs. Virgil Gump (Grace), R. R. 1, Sidney; sister, Miss Viola Worthington, Lena; six grandchildren.  He had been a life-long member of the Charity Chapel Congregational Christian church, north of Lena.
