Lifelong Resident Of Milton Dies From Infirmities
 
Eighty-Two Year Old West Milton Man Succumbs Wednesday--Former Director of Building & Loan Association
 
After an illness of several months death came at last to relieve Frank Filbey of his sufferings.  Between the hours of 3 and 4 P. M. Wednesday.  He was called to the Great Beyond.
 
He was born in Galion, Ohio, Sept. 14, 1947 and passed away at his home in West Milton on Feb. 26, 1930 at the advanced age of 82 years, 5 months, 9 days.
 
In Aug. 1879 he was united in marriage with Miss Sophronia Evans at her home town, London, Ohio.  She preceded him in death some years ago.  Since then he has resided alone in their home until illness necessitated care.  Since last October his brother Joe has been his constant companion and has been at his bedside during his long illness.
 
Mr. Filbey engaged for many years in the harness business with his brother George who passed away two years ago.
 
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Milton and was for many years until his death a director of the Milton Building & Loan Association.
 
He was quite small when the family moved to Milton and has lived there practically eighty years.
 
He is survived by the brother Joe, who is now the last surviving member of a family of nine.  Also by two nieces Mrs. Glenna Bailey of Port Orange, Fla. and Mrs. Goldie Laier who has been very faithful in helping to care for him.  There are also two grand-nephews Herman and Max Lair and one grand-niece Frances Lair.
 
Funeral services will be conducted at the Miller & Son funeral parlors at 10:30 A. M. Saturday by Rev. Kershner.  Burial by the side of his wife in the cemetery at London, Ohio.
