William
R. Cron Dies This Morning After Long Illness at Home of Mrs. Samuel Burns -
Funeral Monday Afternoon.
William R. Cron died this morning at 6 o’clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Samuel Burns, on South Cleveland street. He had been ill about a year suffering from dropsy, but had been bedfast only about two weeks. He was born December 4, 1844, and was therefore just past 61 years of age.He leaves five children to mourn for him. His wife died three years ago this coming March. Since her death he has made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Samuel Burns. He leaves also three brothers, Mayor L. C. Cron, A. J. Cron and Henry Cron, and one sister, Mrs. Sarah Thomas, all of Piqua. The funeral will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the house. Interment will be in Forest Hill cemetery.
