CRAWFORD, WILLIAM - On the 16 inst., after a short illness, William Crawford, in the 72d year of his age.  He was born in Lycoming Co., Pa., in 1798, and emigrated to Ohio, with his father, John H. Crawford, in 1800, to what is now Bethel township, Miami county, where he has made it his home.  By profession he was a school teacher, in which he was very successful, and followed it for many years.  After he gave up teaching he turned his attention to farming, which he was engaged in until the time of his death.  Mr. Crawford is known to many of the citizens of Miami county, and his loss will be felt by many of his friends and neighbors.  He was a man of strict temperate habits; honest, prompt, and punctual in all his dealings.  And, although not a member of the church, he was always willing to contribute to its support.                     J. H. B.
