McKNIGHT, VINCENT - Troy people were shocked and grieved Friday when news reached here that Vincent McKnight, who had been operated on several days before for appendicitis, had passed away at 7:40 o'clock that morning in a Sioux City, Iowa, hospital.  His mother, Mrs. Madora McKnight and brother, Glen McKnight, who had been summoned by the news of his critical illness, did not arrive until after his death.  Mr. McKnight was about 32 years of age and was born and reared in Troy and his friends included almost every person in this city.  For the past year he had successfully represented the Hobart Electric Mfg. company in New York and had only a short time ago taken charge of the Iowa office.  Besides his mother there survive him three sisters and one brother, Mrs. M. B. Fuller of Dayton, Mrs. J. C. Fullerton, Jr., and Mrs. Frank McCullough and Glenn McKnight, all of Troy.  The body was brought to Troy and the funeral was held from the home of his mother, Monday afternoon.  Rev. Beery officiated and the Elks gave their ritualistic services.  Interment was made at Riverside.
