FURNAS, PATIENCE N. - Died, on the 20th of February, of pneumonia, Patience N., wife of Joseph Furnas, Sr. in the sixty-first year of her age. She was a life long and exemplary member of the Society of Friends, a loving mother, an affectionate wife, a kind neighbor, and the poor will bless her memory. The Bible Class which she had organized and so faithfully attended will miss their faithful friend. Her illness was of about a week's duration; her sufferings, which were great, were borne patiently, and in sickness, as in health, she was ready to submit to the will of the Savior. She was buried in the cemetery of the Friends Union Church, near Newton.--Rev. Wm. Jay made some appropriate and impressive remarks from I Cor. IV--57
