GROSSMAN, JOHN - Died, near Alexandersville, Montgomery Co., O., Dec. 19, 1854, Brother John Grossman, of Typhoid Fever, aged 22 years, after a sickness of about 9 days.  He was a native of Franklin Co., Pa.  He came to this Western country sometime during the last summer.  On the 3d day of October 1854, he became a member of Marion Lodge, No. 18, I. O. O. F. at Miamisburg.  And although he was not a beneficial member as yet, the brethren paid every attention to him, relieving his sufferings and supplying all his wants.  His remains were brought to Miamisburg by the members of "The Independent Order of Odd Fellows," and he was buried by them in the Miamisburg Cemetery, in the "Odd Fellows Block."  A large number of brethren and friends followed his remains to their last resting place, where a funeral discourse was delivered by Rev. T. A. G. Phillips, appropriate to the occasion.
