MONROE, W. RILEY - At Troy on the 28th inst., W. Riley Monroe, son of Mr. James Monroe aged about 6 1/2 years. The deceased was staying a short time at his grandfather's in Troy, and so sudden was his death that the first news his bereaved parents had of his illness was from the messenger who brought them the sorrowful report of his death. On Monday he had a slight chill, but was quite well again on Tuesday. On Wednesday morning he had another slight chill and fever which soon passed off and excited no apprehension. Toward noon he began to complain of his head, and congestion came on so rapidly that he died in half an hour after he was discovered to be seriously ill. His corpse was brought home on yesterday and his funeral takes place to-morrow.--Xenia News, May 30.
