RODGERS, THOMAS O'BRASS
- At the Poor House in this county, on the
3d December, Mr. Thomas O'Brass Rodgers, well known to our oldest citizens as an
old hunter and trapper for the last fifty years. He was at the time of his
death, as near as can be ascertained about 100 years old, and until some eight
years ago, he lived the greater part of his time in the woods and followed
hunting and trapping. He was never married, and it is not known that he
has any relations living. He was strictly temperate and could walk ten
miles with ease until a few weeks previous to his death.
