WAGNER, SABIN - Death of Sabin Wagner - In a meeting of the Military companies of ___, at the armory, Capts. Rosson and Culbertson presiding, on the 12th inst., a committee was appointed to draft the following minute to be published in the Troy Times. While we lament the early death by disease of our young comrade, Sabin Wagner late a member of Co. E, 11th Ohio Volunteers, who ____ at Raleigh, Va., on the 7th of June, 1862, and applaud the noble spirit which prompted him to lay his life an offering upon the altar of our country. The death of every soldier--whether slain on the battle field or stricken down by disease--whose sacred remains come home to us for Christian burial, deepens our respect for patriotic valor, our love for our country, and of hatred of rebellion. We are admonished by this Providence of our own mortality, and of the necessity of constant preparation for the hour when the messenger of death shall summon us. We tender our sincere sympathy to the parents and friends of our deceased brother,--suddenly taken from them in the morning of his days--trusting that they may be sustained by the Divine Hand under their heavy bereavement.
