Troy Times

December 20, 1849 

YOUART, JOHN - On the morning of the 11th of December, Mr. John Youart, aged 50 years on the 29th of last September.  Mr. Youart was an elder of the Presbyterian Church (old school) in Troy.  Although he left a family much bereaved--a church, where his example and prayers were much needed --a community where his loss is great, yet, blessed be God, what is our loss is his gain.  He died in strong hope of eternal life.  "Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his."
