LOGUE, ANNA - {Communicated} - Anna Logue, the subject of this communication died on the 12th of December in the house of William Melcuk, in Troy, Ohio in the 84th year of her age.  She was a native of Ireland, who with her parents emigrated to the American colonies, previous to the Revolutionary War (in which her father took an active part in the cause of Liberty) and subsequently also settled in Pennsylvania, in which time she became parent of a marvelous family, the offspring of whom she has seen to the third generation.  But we wish most particular to refer to the religious life of the devoted Christian and disciple of Jesus, who being early instructed in the tenats of religion (white line in filmstrip) and more than forty years ago obtained the seal of pardoned sin through the merits of a previous Redeemer, and became a member of the M. E. Church; about 15 years ago she resigned the toils of domestic concern, since then she has been living amongst her numerous friends, and devoting herself to the service of God, her chief delight was in rehearsing the previous lessons contained in the volume of holy ____ and whether in the circle of health or at the bed of affliction, she was want to dwell upon that soul exhilerating theme, and having made the Bank of God her daily companion, was ever prepared to lay before her fellow travelers through this vale of ____, many and suitable promises contained therein.  We have often conversed with her on the subject of full and free redemption while ________ with _____ of joy and admission of her well-founded hope of a glorious _____ beyond the grave for some time before her desolation she spoke of death with perfect composure, representing herself alone standing on the brink of a river, waiting for the arrival of the boat which was to bear her from the shores of time, with anxious expectations of everlasting rest, her disease which was extremely painful she bore with Christian resignation and like a weary _____ closed her eyes to sleep in Christ.

"Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord."
