Miami Union

ROBINSON, SOPHIA - Sophia Robinson, the eighth child of Noah and Sarah Hoover, was born near the city of Knightstown, Ind., December 30th, 1829.  The family moved to Union, Ohio, about two years later.  She was united in marriage with Higgins N. Robinson Jan. 6, 1849.  Five children were born to this union, two now being dead.  She was a life-long member of the Methodist church and she lived a devoted Christian life in her home.  She loved her family and home and in her later years remained at home almost in seclusion.  By those who knew her best it can be said she lived a modest, exemplary life almost severe in its simplicity.  She is survived by four generations, three children, nineteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, also one sister.
