JACKSON, (SON OF WM. J. JACKSON, ESQ.) - A little son of Wm. J. Jackson, Esq., of Piqua, aged about twelve years, was drowned in the canal at that place on Wednesday afternoon.  He could not swim, and another boy--as we have been told--who was in the water with him, and who was a swimmer, took him on his back to carry him across the canal, and when in deep water threw him off, when he went down, and was lost.  There were several men within a short distance of the place, but the boys were too much frightened to give the alarm and an hour elapsed before the body was taken from the water.
