MITCHELL, SILAS - Lookout--Silas Mitchell died Tuesday, Jan. 2, at 9:40 p.m. after an illness of seven weeks.  He was past 69 years of age.  In 1869 he was married to Josephine Mahan who together with two daughters, three sons and fourteen grandchildren, survives him.  He also leaves one brother, five half-sisters.  The funeral was held at the home Thursday at 1:30 p.m. and was conducted by Rev. Baker, the Universalist minister at Woodstock.  Interment was made at Rosedale cemetery.
