HUNDRED, ROY - Brandt--The sudden death of Roy Hundred, a young man whom every one liked and respected and who has lived in our midst all his life was a shock.  He was taken ill on Friday night with typhoid fever which later developed into spinal meningitis and at nine o'clock Monday morning he had passed to the Great Beyond.  Three skillful physicians were at his bedside and all that science and love could do was done but in vain.  He was the only son of Jane Hundred and his mother is a widow, the father having died when Roy was only six week's old.  Roy was aged 22 years and was an unusually healthy young man.  He will be sadly missed in this community.  Funeral services were held on Thursday in the Methodist church conducted by Rev. Miranda of New Carlisle.  Burial at Bethel.  Mrs. Ora Plummer, a sister, is ill in the same house with typhoid fever, but is doing nicely.
