FOCKLER, REBECCA JANE - Pleasant Hill--In the state of Pennsylvania on April 14, 1833, there was born to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Sipes a little daughter to whom was given the name Rebecca Jane.  When the child was only four years old the family moved to Miami county, Ohio, where she grew to maturity.  May 1, 1871, she was united in marriage to Sands Fockler of Pleasant Hill.  Five years later they moved to the northern part of this state where they made their home until 1903, when they returned to Pleasant Hill to spend the remainder of their lives among old friends.  Deceased was a member of the Pleasant Hill Christian church and her faith in God was strong and beautiful to her death, and she expressed a readiness to depart and be at peace.  Since the death of her husband five years ago she made her home with her sister, Mrs. Harshbarger, until death came to separate them on the twenty-seventh of April.  The funeral services were held from the Christian church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Alva M. Kerr.
