Gates, Orville F. - Friends may call this evening (Tuesday) until 5 p.m. and between 7 and 9 p.m. to pay respect to Orville F. Gates, 81, 1030 West Ginghamsburg-Frederick Road, Tipp City.  Mr. Gates died Monday morning, July 10 at Stouder Memorial hospital.  Born November 22, 1896, in Preble county, the son of George O. and Melissa Boyd Gates, he and his wife had lived at their present address since 1945.  He was a retired farmer.  Mr. Gates is survived by his wife, Annabelle Minnich Gates.  Funeral services will be held by the Reverend Gordon Brubaker at 2 p.m. on Wednesday in the Frings and Bayliff funeral home.  Burial will be in Highland cemetery at Covington, Ohio.
