HATHAWAY, OLIVER -
Covington--Funeral services for the late Oliver Hathaway, who resided about two
miles east of town on the Troy Pike, were held in the Methodist church Wednesday
at 2 o'clock. The decedent was 85 years of age and had been ill for
several months, and for a few weeks prior to his death the disease became
very serious until Monday evening when he passed peacefully away. Mr.
Hathaway was esteemed by all who knew him and for many years was a faithful
member of the Methodist church. He is survived by his wife, one son,
Melvine Hathaway, who resides at home, four sisters and one brother. The
funeral service was conducted by Rev. W. H. Spybey. Interment in the
Highland cemetery
