McDOWELL, N. J. - N. J. McDowell, a well known citizen and veteran, died at 11 p.m. last Thursday very suddenly death being due to an affection of the heart.  Mr. McDowell was born near Casstown on June 26, and for years had been employed at various factories in Troy and when death came he was working for the Star Storm Front company.  He leaves a wife and one daughter, Mrs. David Brelsford.  He was a member of Coleman Post, G. A. R. , having served in Co. G. 71st O. V. I.  He also belonged to the Knights of Golden Eagle.  The funeral was held from the Christian church Sunday afternoon with the G. A. R. in charge.  The services was preached by Rev. Etter.  Interment was made at Casstown.
