Mrs. Elizabeth Cron, 81, 610 Boal Avenue, Piqua, widow of Andrew R. Cron, died 1 p. m. Saturday afternoon in Piqua Memorial Hospital, after an illness of 12 weeks. She had been ill 5 months. Born in Auglaize County near Wapokoneta, August 28, 1869, she was the daughter of Andrew and Anna Meng Rempfer. She attended school at Buckland and lived on a farm in the eastern part of Springcreek township for 33 years before coming to Piqua 25 years ago. She was a member of the Congregational Christian church. Her husband died in 1924 and she was also preceded in death by a son, Alva, and a daughter, Mrs. Forest Rauscher (Freda). Surviving are a son, Forest E., R. R.1, Piqua; daughter, Mrs. Raymond Swob; two sisters, Mrs. Katie Hengstler of Wapakoneta and Mrs. Frank Baber of Texhoma, Okla.; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services conducted at 2 p. m. Tuesday in the J. C. Cron and Sons Funeral home in Piqua was conducted by the Rev. Bryon M. Flory of the Church of the Brethern and the Rev. Roger Gough of the Congregational Christian church with burial in Forest Hill cemetery.
