OAKES, MRS. FRANK - Mrs. Frank Oakes of Pleasant Hill, formerly of Piqua, died Tuesday morning at 7:45 o'clock in Piqua Memorial hospital where she had been a patient since January 23.  Last Thursday she submitted to an operation from which she never rallied.  Her illness of four months duration was stated to have been caused by stomach ulcers.  Mrs. Oakes was Miss Harriet Koon prior to her marriage.  She was a graduate nurse of Piqua Memorial hospital, having completed her required training in 1915.  She served on general duty at that institution for some time.  Since her marriage she had resided in Pleasant Hill.  Besides her husband, the decedent leaves two step-children, Harry Oakes of Dayton and Mrs. Mildred Schilling of Hampton Roads, Va.; one sister, Mrs. Maude Giffon, and a brother, Harry Koon, both of Covington.
