HIGGINS, MRS. MERCY BELLE - Covington--After a lingering illness of several months and a severe attach of pneumonia, Mrs. Mercy Belle Higgins, widow of the late Dr. Higgins of this city, passed away Thursday.  The deceased was well known and was a highly respected woman, although she had not enjoyed good health for several years, yet always had a word of cheer for her friends and had reached the advanced age of 80 years and 6 months.  In the demise she is survived by only one son, Judson Higgins, a representative of Indiana, who resides in Indianapolis, and two grandchildren and many relatives and friends.  The funeral obsequies were held Friday afternoon at the late home conducted by Rev. F. O. Behner, and the remains were taken to Dayton Saturday for burial beside the late husband.
