LONG, MRS. MARY RAMON - Conover--Mrs. Mary Ramon Long, a venerable citizen of this community, died at the home of her son John, Tuesday, October 28.  She was born Oct. 29, 1822, in Lebanon county, Pa.  She was married to Israel Long and they came to Ohio in 1852.  Her husband died in 1881.  To this union were born nine children.  Three died in infancy and another daughter, Elizabeth Pearson, died in 1884. There remain to mourn her loss, five children, Theodore, Simon, Rebecca, William and John, several grandchildren and a number of other relatives and friends.  In 1871 Mrs. Long united with the church and always lived a faithful and consistent life, doing good to others and bearing life's burdens with courage.  She was a kind and loving mother and was loved by all who knew her.  The funeral was held Monday, Oct. 30, at the home of her son John and was conducted by Rev. John Hoover.  Interment in Casstown cemetery.
