CLARK, MRS. MARY A. - Mrs. Mary A. Clark died at her home on the Mason pike northwest of Sidney Sunday night, April 30, after an extended illness, aged 89 years, 9 months and 10 days.  The funeral was held at the  _____ Tuesday afternoon, May 2 at 2:30 o'clock.  Mrs. Clark was a daughter of Isaac and Elizabeth French and was born in Springcreek township, Miami county, July 19, 1821, and she was raised in that township.  In 1840 she was married to A. R. Clark and they resided in Miami county until 1864, when they went to Shelby county and had resided in Turtle Creek township since that time.  Mr. Clark died in 1880.  She is survived by one son, I. A. Clark, who resides on the home farm with his family.  Two sons and a daughter have preceded her in death.  She is also survived by a brother, Patterson French, of Virginia, Cass county, Illinois, and a sister, Mrs. Cornelia Barclay, of Los Angeles, eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.  Among the relatives called to Shelby county by the illness and death of Mrs. Clark were Daniel Clark, the son-in-law, of Monon, Indiana, a grandson, J. R. Clark, his wife and son, also of Monon, Miss Martha Clark of Monon, Mrs. Mary May, of Remington, Indiana, and Mrs. Elizabeth Caster, of Chicago Heights, Illinois.  Mrs. Clark had long been a member of the United Presbyterian church and was a faithful Christian woman.
