HAWVER, CATHERINE (BEACHLY) - Center--Catherine (Beachly) Hawver was born April 23, 1829, died Sept. 19, 1911, aged 82 years, 4 months and 26 days.  She was united in marriage to Jacob Hawver Sept. 10, 1848, and this union was blessed with one son, S. C. Hawver of Tippecanoe City, Ohio.  She with her husband came to this state in the month of October 1855, and in 1856 moved to this community where she lived and labored until called to her reward.  She joined the church of her choice in 1849 at the age of 20, to which she remained faithful until removed by death.  She leaves a companion with whom she journeyed 63 years, one son and one granddaughter and many friends to mourn her departure, thus one by one we are gathering yonder.  The funeral services were held at the Hickory Grove Church of the Brethren conducted by Elder Jacob Coppock and A. S. Neher, with interment in New Carlisle cemetery.
