Death of Mrs. Henry May  

Mrs. Ella May, wife of Henry May, and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Cron, of this city, died at her home in Anna Station last evening.  For many months she had been an invalid, but her friends had hoped for her complete restoration to health. Their hopes were not to be realized, however, and last evening she peacefully passed away, where sorrows and pains are never felt.  The remains were brought here this afternoon, but the hour of the funeral has not yet been determined upon.

In Memoriam  

Died at the residence of her husband, at Anna Station, June 7, 1888, in the 23d year of her life, Mrs. Ella M. May, wife of Henry May. The deceased was the daughter of L. C. Cron, and was married March 17, 1887, to one of Piqua’s promising young men, and immediately removed to Anna Station, where Mr. May had established himself in business, and their life was commenced in earnest and everything seemed bright for a life of happiness.  But, alas: in one short year disease had marked the fair bride as its victim and for eight long, weary weeks she battled with it, suffering with a fortitude seldom equaled and never surpassed.  She suffered intensely but was always patient and thoughtful to the very last of all her dear ones.  Death though coming to her in the very morning of her womanhood, while yet a bride of but a little more than a year, did not find her unprepared, for early in life she had given her heart to the Savior and herself to his church, of which she was a consistent member till death.  She was a loving faithful daughter, a tender devoted wife, a loyal Christian, and hence when God called her He sustained her by His wonderful grace.  And now we commend the bereaved father, mother, family and the mourning husband to the Great Physician who alone can heal the wounded, for He was wounded that our wounds might be healed.
