HUNTER, MRS. EMMA - Peterson--Mrs. Emma Hunter was born near Piqua, August 10, 1842 and died at the home of her son Melville Umhoults, Saturday, June 22, at 1:45 p.m.  Mrs. Hunter had been in poor health all winter but was confined to her bed only a few days before the end.  She was 69 years, 10 months and seven days old at the time of her death.  Deceased was united in marriage to Jesse Umboults in 1862 and to this union were born two sons, Melville of Piqua and Frank of Dayton.  Mr. Umhoults died in 1868, and Feb. 23, 1902, she was again united in marriage to Thomas Hunter, who now survives her.  Besides the husband there are two sons, three grandchildren and a host of friends who mourn her loss.  Mrs. Hunter united with the Calvary Baptist church at Piqua in 1882 and was a faithful and consistent member.  She was a kind and affectionate mother and a good friend to all who knew her.
