HARTLEY, MRS. CHARLES A. - One of the most widely known and generally respected women of Troy passed away at an early hour Sunday morning when Mrs. C. A. Hartley succumbed after an illness since Nov. 10 when she was stricken with paralysis while attending a meeting of the Eastern Star lodge. Mrs. Hartley was born in Dayton, Feb. 28, 1848, and was married to Dr. Charles A. Hartley, Jan 12, 1875. Besides the husband she leaves one daughter, Mrs. Marvin Rossiter. Deceased was a member of the Presbyterian church, secretary of the Troy Bible society, past matron of the Eastern Star, and a member of the W. C. T. U., Sorosis and Altrurian clubs. Funeral services were held at the house Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. R. H. Dunaway. Interment at Riverside.
