Former Tipp Woman Succumbs in Florida - Mary Edith Jacobs, age 65, of Englewood,
Fla., passed away there Sunday in the Venice Memorial hospital. Mrs.
Jacobs was a former resident of Tipp City. She was born Sept. 20, 1905,
the daughter of William and Mamie Lynton Bridgeman. Survivors include her
husband Roy; two sons, Robert of Tipp City, Jerry of New Carlisle; one brother,
Harvey Bridgeman of Hastings, Mich., and a half-brother, Frank Schuler of
Pennsylvania; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Mathews of Tipp City and Mrs. Ruth Gasoway
of Troy; a half-sister, Francis Schuler of Orient; six grandchildren and one
great-grandchild. Services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Thursday from
the Trostel-Chapman funeral home in New Carlisle with burial in the New Carlisle
cemetery. The Rev. David T. Matevia from the First Lutheran Church, Troy
will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. on
Wednesday.
