HECKMAN, BERTHA - Mrs. Heckman Died Thursday in Stouder - The Rev. George Puckett and the
Rev. Glenn Seymour officiated at final rites Saturday for Bertha Heckman, 84, of
10 S. Lincoln street, Christiansburg, mother of Roger Heckman of Tipp City.
Mrs. Heckman died Thursday in Stouder Memorial hospital. Services were
held at the Church of Christ in Christian Union. Burial was in Glen Haven
cemetery near Springfield. Born in Potsdam, July 31, 1886, she was a
daughter of Perry and Mary Ann Arnett Black. Her husband, Roy, died in
1952. She is survived by three other sons, Huber and Emerson of Dayton and
Don of New Carlisle; two daughters, Miriam Heckman of Christiansburg and Mary
Drake of Troy; three sisters; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and four
great-great-grandchildren.
