JENKS, ALPHA - Suicide - An old lady named Alpha Jenks, 79 years of age, residing at Laura in this county, committed suicide by drowning, on Saturday night or Sunday morning last.  Esq. Elleman of that place--acting as Coroner--empanneled a jury who after an examination of the body and such witnesses as could throw any light upon the matter, rendered the following verdict: "That the deceased came to her death by voluntarily drowning herself and not by means of violence."  No particular cause is assigned for her course, other than age and ill-health.
