MEREDITH, MARY A. -
Alcony--The death angel has again visited this community and has taken the
beloved wife of David Meredith. Mary A. Meredith was born in Ohio.
She departed this life Jan. 13, 1911, being in poor health for the past 10
months but not seriously until a few hours before death. She was 73 years,
5 months, three days old. She leaves a husband and six children, two sons,
William of Piqua and Albert of Philadelphia, Pa., and four daughters, Mrs.
William Routzahn, Mrs. Frank Urick, Mrs. C. C. Cavanaugh and Mrs. Ed McDonald
all of Miami county. One sister, two brothers and 12 grandchildren and one
great-grandchild also survive her. She was christened a member of the
Lutheran church when a girl and remained a faithful member of the same until
about 15 years also when she joined the Reformed church at this place of which
she was a member at the time of her death. She was a faithful Christian
woman, quiet in disposition, thinking of others before herself and beloved by
all who knew her, especially by her children. To them there was no one
like mother. She has gone out from them but will never be forgotten.
