CARNER, MARGUERITE - Mass of Christian Burial for Marguerite E. Carner, 90, mother of John Carner of Tipp City, was celebrated March 10 at 11:30 a.m. at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Shelby by the Rev. Fr. Frederick J. Schill.  Burial was in the church cemetery.  Mrs. Carner, a former resident of Shelby, died March 7 at Maria-Joseph Living Care Center, Dayton.  She was retired from the Shelby Mutual Insurance Company and was a member of Most Pure of Heart of Mary Church, its Altar and Rosary Society, Daughters of Isabella and Catholic Ladies of Columbus.  She is survived by the son in Tipp City and two other sons, Richard Carner of Johnson City, Tenn. and Michael Carner of Kettering; one daughter, Mrs. James Hormuth (Rosemary) of Gathersburg, Md.; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, J. W. and Verena (Gerster) Ovens; her husband, Thomas I. Carner, Feb. 26, 1995; two brothers, James L. Ovens and John (Herb) Ovens.  Memorial contributions may be made to Maria-Joseph Living Care Center, 4830 Salem Ave., Dayton 45416.
