WARNER, MABEL CLARA -
Pleasant Hill--On the eighth of January 1888, at Pleasant Hill, there was born
to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel DeBra their daughter Mabel Clara.
Growing to womanhood with the routine of study and play and dreams that usually
come to youth, she was united in marriage two years ago this coming June to
Perry Warner of Dayton. Their new home was instituted in Dayton where her
husband was and is a employee in the postal service. The happy home was
made still happier and many fond aspirations begun when a few days ago a little
son was born to them. And it seems especially sad that so soon these
dreams must be shattered by such an unexpected death. When only a child,
Mabel had united with the Pleasant Hill Christian church, and on going to
Dayton, she and her husband moved their membership to the First Christian church
of that city. Here they attended services and her Sabbath school class
sent flowers as their greeting of love and sympathy. Her life was pure and
virtuous, and she a number of times recently spoke of having no fear of death
and of being ready for it when it should come. It came suddenly on the
nineteenth of April 1912, and leaves her home and loved ones in the shadow of
separation which must be for a little while and then there shall be joy in the
morning. The funeral services were held from the home of her parents
at Pleasant Hill, on Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Alva M. Kerr, assisted
by Rev. H. A. Smith, her Dayton pastor. Interment at Pleasant.
