HUNDRED, LEWIS - Lewis Hundred was found dead in bed Tuesday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Harry Mertz, on the Fenner pike.  It is thought his death occurred about 10 o'clock Monday night and was due to heart trouble.  He had been in good health and visited Troy on Monday.  He was born in Germany January 21, 1830, and came to America when 19 years of age.  He early came to this region and was all his life a prosperous farmer.  His wife passed away some years ago.  Seven of their thirteen children survive.  They are Mrs. Ireland of Muncie, Ind., Mrs. Harmon of New Carlisle, Mrs. Hare of Brandt, Mrs. Weaver of Dayton, Mrs. Harry Mertz, Will Hundred of Medway and Harry Hundred of east of Springfield.  Mr. Hundred was of a kind, pleasant disposition and was much loved.  The funeral services were held Thursday morning from the Brandt Methodist church.  Burial was made at New Carlisle.
