January 13, 1910

MINNICH, JOSEPH WARREN - Pleasant Hill - Joseph Warren Minnich was the son of Josiah and Susan Reiber Minnich and was born in Newton township near Pleasant Hill, October 29, 1879.  When this boy cam into the family the father having served his country with the 110th O. V. I. under General Joseph Warren Keifer he named him in honor of his old commander.  In Joseph Warren's early boyhood the father and mother moved to Union township, near Potsdam, where he grew to manhood and where on April 9, 1899, he was united in marriage with Miss Viola Elifritz.  To this union one son was given, Harold Minnich.  After a continued illness Mr. Minnich departed this life on January 8, 1910.  He was a good little boy, a good big boy and a good man, so said the minister at his funeral and it was undoubtedly true.  He professed conversion in September 1909.  His funeral service took place from the Mennonite church at Potsdam, Monday, January 10th, and was attended by a large audience, the service being conducted by Rev. Kreider, pastor of the church, assisted by Rev. G. D. Waitman, of the same church.  The music, which was good and appropriate, was rendered by the church choir.  Our subject leaves to morn his departure a fond and loving wife, one little son, one brother and one sister and a large circle of more distant relatives and all as his friends.  Interment in Potsdam cemetery. - Uncle Jake.
