LEWIS, JOSEPH - Joseph Lewis, a veteran of the Civil war, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. H. H. Shearer, on West Main street, early Sunday morning.  He was 69 years of age and had been in ill health for several years.  He was injured while in the army and never completely recovered.  After the war he engaged in farming but retired several years ago.  He was a member of Coleman Post G. A. R. which organization was in charge of the funeral services which were held at the Shearer home at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon.  Rev. C. E. Paulus officiated.   The body was taken to Covington for burial.
