GORMAN, JOHN O. -
John O. Gorman, a veteran of the Civil war, died at the home of his daughter,
Mrs. Jennie Rager, on South Union street Monday evening. He had lived in
Troy nearly all his life and would have been 83 years old May 2. During
the war he served in the 44th O. V. I. and 8th O. V. C. He was a member of
the Brethren church. He is survived by his wife and four daughters, Mrs.
John Emrick, Mrs. Charles Myers, Mrs. Ira Shellabarger and Mrs. Rager. The
funeral was held Thursday afternoon at the Church of the Nazarene with Rev.
Miller in charge. The G. A. R. gave their ritual. Interment at Riverside.
