CAVEN, JOHN MONROE - Hetzlers Corner--John Monroe Caven died at his home in North Springcreek township Wednesday, February 28.  He had been ill for about two years suffering from sugar diabetes and it was from a complication resulting from this disease that death ensued.  Mr. Caven was the son of John and Arsinith Caven and was born on the farm where he died on Dec. 9, 1848.  He never married.  One brother and four sisters survive him.  He followed the occupation of farming all his life and after the death of the parents he and three unmarried sisters remained on the home farm.  The funeral will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. from the residence and will be conducted by Rev. D. M. Davis, pastor of the Piqua United Presbyterian church of which Mr. Caven was a member.
