Jeanne M. Grilliot, 83, of Troy, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2008 at Springmeade Healthcenter, Tipp City.  She was born on February 24, 1925 in Chalons- Sur – Marne, France to the late Marc F. and Alice L. (Bradier) Pirot.  Jeanne married Ralph J. Grilliot on June 16, 1945 and he survives. 

Other survivors include her 4 sons, Leo L. (Mary Lou) Grilliot of Troy, Marc Grilliot of Troy, Dennis (Diane) Grilliot of Parker City, Indiana, Jeffrey C. (Chris) Grilliot of Troy; 4 daughters, Marie “Mary” A. Meeker of Troy, Mary Jane Grilliot of Troy, Michele (Daryell) Smith of Grantsville, West Virginia, Nancy H. (John) Cradduck of Troy; 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Yvette (Don) Allen of Troy; numerous nieces and nephews. 

 In addition to her parents, Jeanne was preceded in death by her brother, Jacques Pirot and son-in-law, George E. Meeker, Jr. 

Jeanne was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Troy.  She was a member of the Rosary Guild, the former Knights of St. John Auxiliary, and the former International Club.  Jeanne was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Troy. 

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, September 4, 2008 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy with Rev. Fr. James Duell and Rev. Fr. Glen Perin, Celebrants.  The visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.  There will be a Rosary held at 7:30 P.M. on Wednesday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Patrick Soup Kitchen, 409 E. Main St., Troy, Ohio 45373.  Interment will take place in Miami Memorial Park, Covington.  Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.fisher-cheneyfuneralhome.com.
