CARLTON, JAMES WELDON - James Weldon Carlton, nine-month-old son of Mrs. and Mrs. Urle Carlton, 810 Summit avenue, succumbed to influenza and pneumonia Tuesday Morning at 1:05 o'clock at the home of his parents.  He had been ill about three weeks with a severe cold which developed into pneumonia.  Funeral services were held at the parental home at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, Rev. J. I. Moore, pastor of the Church of the Nazarene, in officiation.  Burial was made in Riverside cemetery.  Jimmy was born April 20, 1932, in this city.  He was the son of Urle and Rachel Sturgeon Carlton and was the third child in the family.  He leaves his parents, one sister, Patricia Louise, and a brother, Cory Richard, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Cory Sturgeon, of this city.  The son, Richard, is also suffering from influenza and bronchial pneumonia, but reports Tuesday stated he was improving.  Both children suffered from scarlet fever, later with influenza which developed into bronchial pneumonia.
