WEIMER, JACOB, SR. - Jacob Weimer, Sr., 85 years of age, passed away Friday morning following a prolonged illness, and the funeral was held Monday afternoon from the home, with Rev. R. A. Harshman in charge.  Interment was made at Maple Hill cemetery.  Mr. Weimer, a native of Lancaster county, Pennsylvania, was born in New Providence, Jan. 26, 1848.  It was not until 1876 that he came to Tippecanoe City.  He resided here ever since.  A year after coming to the western part of Ohio he married Miss Susan Kay, of Shelby county.  Six children were born, three of whom along with Mrs. Weimer preceded him in death.  Two sons, Samuel and Howard and a daughter, Mrs. Grace Laipple, of Faulknor, Iowa, and eleven grandchildren survive.  Mrs. Weimer at one time was city marshal here.
