EVERLY, JACOB - The death of Jacob Everly occurred at his home in Lockington after a short illness. He suffered a stroke of paralysis Wednesday evening and never regained consciousness. Mr. Everly was born in Loraimie township, Shelby county, and was aged 72 years. He has lived in Lockington all of his life. He was a member of 50th O. V. I. of which Col. Gillespie had command. He is survived by his widow, two sons and two daughters, John Everly of Piqua, Frank Everly of Washington township, Mrs. Emma Wilkinson of near Houston, and Mrs. Laura Hart of Orange township, Shelby county. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at the home. The services were in charge of the Rev. C. S. Stansberry, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church at Lockington. Mr. Everly was a member of that church. The interment was at the Beechwood cemetery at Lockington.
