COX, HARBE D. - Pleasant
Hill--Harbe D. Cox, son of Henry and Anna Cox, was born on the 13th day of
February, 1834, and died on the 6th day of May, 1910. He was one of a
family of nine children, three of whom are still living, Joseph and Wilber Cox
and Mrs. Alice Patty. Mr. Cox was married October 18, 1860, to Miss
Barbara Beam, who died May 19, 1889. To this union were born three
children, Wilk T., Alma Dora, and Emma Florence, all of whom preceded him in
death. January 1, 1888, Alma Dora Cox was united in marriage to Joseph
Iddings. To this union were born two sons and one daughter, who died in
infancy and Miss Emma Dora Iddlings, who has made her home with her grandfather
and rendered him every attention that love could inspire. They have been
loving companions, full of tender devotion to each other and her faithful
ministry to him has been beautiful to its constancy and loving kindness.
His death removes one of the oldest and most highly respected citizens of this
community. The funeral services took place Sunday afternoon and were
conducted by the Rev. O P. Furnas and Rev. Alva M. Kerr. Interment in the
