HATTEN, H. CLAY - New Carlisle--H. Clay Hatten, who has been an invalid for about four years, died at his home on South Church street on Tuesday night of last week.  He was a veteran of the Civil war, having served in the 73rd Ohio.  Later in life he was connected with his brother Frank M. Hatten, deceased, in the nursery business known as the Gem nursery.  He is survived by his wife.  The funeral services took place Friday afternoon.  Rev. George Miranda conducted the services.
