Miami Union

WEST, GEORGE H. - Union--George H. West died at his home here Sunday.  He had been paralyzed for nine months.  He was thought to be improving until last Friday when he was very suddenly taken with convulsions and remained in a stupor most of the time until his death.  He was a native of Union being a son of Wm. A. and Rhoda A. West and was born June 24, 1850.  In 1883 he married Eliza Reedy.  He is survived by his wife, one sister and two brothers.  He was a member of Grace lodge No. 504 I. O. O. F. and Chaplain I. N. Baker and Noble Grand E. R. Robinson gave the ritual at the grave and a number of the members were in attendance at the funeral which was held at the home at 10 a.m., Tuesday and was conducted by Rev. O. P. Furnas.  Burial was at Minnich cemetery.
