Galen G. Francis  

Galen Glenn Francis, 75, of Troy, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003.  He was born on Oct. 29, 1927 in Miami County, the son of the late Marvin Glenn and Addie Marie (Ford) Francis.  He married Mabel Louise Cron on June 12, 1948 and she survives. He is also survived by five sons and three daughters-in-law, Garen (Brenda) Francis of Troy, Keith (Jacki) Francis of Troy, Gregory (Della) Francis of Idaho Springs, Colo., Loren Francis of Troy, and Edwin Francis of Daytona Beach, Fla.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  Three brothers also survive him, Marvin (Rita) Francis of Casstown, Lester (Lennet) Francis and Maynard (Alfrieda) Francis, both of Troy. In addition to his parents, two grandchildren preceded him in death.  Galen was retired from Dinner Bell of Troy.  He was a life member of VFW Post No. 5436. Troy, AM-Vets Post No. 88, Troy, and the Troy Fish and Game Club.  He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy. Burial will be in Fletcher Cemetery at the convenience of the family.  Suber Funeral Home, 201 W. Main St., Fletcher is serving the family.
