HOGENDOBLER, FRED - Tippecanoe City--Fred Hogendobler, 79, died at his home here Tuesday evening after an illness due to rheumatism. For many years he was a prominent hardware merchant but more recently had lived a retired life. He was a veteran of the civil war and was a member of D. M. Rouzer Post G. A. R. He was also a Mason. For many years he was an active member of the English Lutheran church. He is survived by his wife and three daughters, Mrs. M. C. Peirce of Springfield, Mrs. T. H. Corey of New Carlisle and Mrs. H. J. Harshbarger of Tippecanoe City. Funeral services were held at the home and were conducted by the pastor, Rev. B. W. Ziegler. Interment at Maple Hill cemetery.
