WEST, FRANCIS MARION - Lena--Francis Marion West was born July 28, 1840, and died at his home in Lena March 14th, the cause of his death being Bright's disease.  He enlisted in the army August 15, 1862, and served his country as a soldier until honorably discharged June 7, 1865.  Jan. 10, 1866, he was united in marriage with Catharine A. Needles, who, with one son, E. E. West of Casstown, one daughter, Mrs. John Drennan, six grandchildren, three brothers and four sisters survive him.  Deceased united with the Lena Baptist church Jan. 7, 1877, and remained a faithful member until death.  Funeral services were held at the Lena Baptist church last Saturday at 1 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Bragg.  Interment in Fletcher cemetery.
